Telechnics was formed 20 years ago and is primarily involved in the sales and service of a wide range of Telecommunications equipment. Specialising in handheld portable radios, mobile radios, on-site and in-plant radio systems.

Sales

With dealerships in place with most major manufacturers and/or distributors, Telechnics have the ability to provide the product best suited to a client’s application.

All staff involved in radio equipment sales have some form of technical training and have an excellent overview of equipment capabilities and/or limitations.

After market radio accessories and rental/leasing options can also be catered for.

Service Centre

Telechnics is centrally located in Auburn, Sydney with a modern fully fitted out workshop and installation area. The workshop, comprising four independent workstations has an array of modern test equipment designed specifically for RF use. Models from I.F.R, Marconi and Rhode and Schwartz are in service.

The spare parts storage system incorporates Dexion and B.A.C parts cabinets and racking. These compact storage solutions enable Telechnics to keep in stock a wide range of spare parts and accessories to assist with the speedy turnaround of radio repairs.

The installation/service bay is separate to the workshop and utilises it’s own workbench and equipment. A six-metre high roller shutter allows for high vehicle access to the bay area. Telechnics two dedicated service vehicles also allow for field service and on-site installation facilities.

Scheduled servicing, maintenance agreements and fixed price repairs are also service options that can be tailored to suit.

After hours and weekend call-outs can be catered for, if arranged in advance.

Systems & People

A proven record system enables Telechnics to track repairs and/or field service jobs as they either go through the workshop or are completed. Each repair item has a traceable Service Work Docket and number attached to it. Duplicate copies are kept for future reference and service history purposes. These dockets can be cross-checked against invoices and/or regular maintenance reports where required.

We have suitably qualified technicians who work from the service centre and have experience with a wide range of commercial two-way radio equipment. Telechnics is committed to training and has employed apprentices since it’s formation.

Each of Telechnics technicians has been trained in the communications field with a combined total of 70 years of industry experience. They have all worked for numerous equipment providers and/or major manufacturers of radio equipment in the last 20 years and have exceptional knowledge of product collectively, for example Kenwood, Motorola, Maxon, Simoco Phillips, GME Electrophone, Kyodo, Omnitronics, Midland, Design Two Thousand, Tait and Nokia.
